The App Designer is a dynamic tool for creating data collection Apps (also known as Forms). It provides total control over the organization of Fields without requiring any code.
To access the App Designer:
when editing apps that already contain collected Records. Certain structural changes can result in permanent data loss. Always export your data before making significant modifications.
App Designer Sections
The App Designer is divided into three primary sections to streamline your workflow.
Fields
The Fields section contains various field types, such as Text, Choice, or Photo fields. Click and drag these elements into the Layout section to build your app.
Layout
The Layout section is where you organize your fields. Once you place a field, a popup menu allows you to:
Set the display label and data name.
Add a description or default value and various other options.
Configure Conditional Logic to control field visibility.
Nest fields within sections or repeatable sections for better structure.
Settings
Use the Settings section to define the high-level details of your app:
App Identity: Assign a name, description, and icon.
Advanced Options: Set the app status, record titles, status field and location settings.
Data Events: Access the builder for automated workflows.
At the bottom of the designer, select Save app to save the design.

Use the Preview App button in the bottom-right corner to view your design on the web.
