Issues were introduced as part of Fulcrum's Intelligent Team Automation functionality. Issues represent problems or observations found in the field and can be resolved via a couple of different workflows.

  1. NOTE: You will need to have our Intelligent Team Automation (Tasks and Issues) feature set enabled to use this workflow! If you do not see Tasks and Issues in Fulcrum, please reach out to our support team via our in-app chat or by emailing support@fulcrumapp.com to learn more about this new functionality and to have them enable it. Intelligent Team Automation is included with your existing subscription.

Immediate resolution in the field

If an issue is reported and resolved right away in the field, the field user can mark the issue as resolved via the mobile app.

Steps (photos are from the iOS app, but the same steps apply for the Android app as well):

  1. Select an Issue from the Issues list to open up the Issue preview.

  2. If you would like to make any last-minute changes, please tap Edit in the top right corner, make your changes, and then tap Save:

  3. If you are ready to resolve the Issue, scroll to the bottom of the Issue preview and tap Resolve.

  4. Fill in a Resolution description (how the issue was resolved), add/or add photos of the resolution or fix.

  5. Select Resolve/Save.

Tasking an Issue

Another way to resolve an issue is to assign task(s) that represent the work that is needed to resolve the issue.

Steps:

  1. From the Issues page, select the issue that you want to resolve.

  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the Issue Editor and select ADD NEW TASK.

  3. Fill in the task details and select SAVE TASK.

  4. Create as many tasks as you want using steps 2 & 3.

  5. You will then see the tasks you created in the issue view.

  6. Select SAVE ISSUE to save the issue.

On the issues list, you will be able to view which tasks have been assigned to an issue by hovering over the task indicator.

The tasks will also appear in your task backlog.
