Photo fields allow users entering data to associate a photo files to a record. Photos can be taken directly through the photo field itself on the mobile apps or can be selected from the gallery, photos, or file browser on the mobile or web apps. Photos can also be imported through the importer.

The quality (resolution) of the photos captured through the photo field can be edited through the settings page of the Fulcrum mobile apps. Additionally, data events can be used to set the quality for photos captured in specific apps.

Photo fields have an option to enable markups. When enabled, markups can be added to the photo once the photo has been added to the photo field.

Another hidden option for photo fields is that you can add a caption to the photo you are uploading. Captions can be added via both web and mobile app. After uploading the photo on mobile app, tap the attached photo and select the Edit Caption action.

By default, photos taken through the photo field are not saved to the gallery or photo app, but this option can be enabled through the settings page in the Fulcrum mobile app.
