Changing the app update settings of Fulcrum mobile in Android and iOS (Basic)

Enable or disable automatic app updates

Modern iOS and Android operating systems have included features to automatically download and install app updates from both the iOS App Store and Google Play. Depending on how you use Fulcrum, you may want tighter control over your app versions — new updates may include improvements to the user interface or new features that you might want to train your staff to use properly. Follow these steps to find the settings for automatic app updates for Android and iOS devices.

Note: The details below may not be current or applicable for the version of the mobile operating system (Android/iOS) that you are running. iOS

To find the app update settings for iOS devices, open the Settings app and go to the iTunes & App Store settings. In this menu, you’ll find options to enable or disable auto updates under the Automatic Downloads section:

Android

The settings for Google Play differ somewhat across Android devices. These examples are on Android 4.2, but should be similar for other Android releases that support automatic updating.

First, open the Google Play app, then tap the menu button to go to the Settings screen:
