With Fulcrum, creating a layer from the records in one of your apps is very useful and easy to set up. This can be helpful if you want to examine the data from separate apps on a single map in Fulcrum.

The thing to remember is that you will not be able to edit the data contained in the layer but the layer will contain the latest collected data. Every time the layer is loaded the latest data is pulled from the app. This could also be used to allow users to see the location of records contained in apps they do not have permission to. This will allow them to see the latest data but not be able to edit it.

Adding a Layer from a Fulcrum App

Here's how to set up new layers from other Fulcrum Apps.

  1. Select Fulcrum App as the layer source

  2. Give the layer a name

  3. Select the app you wish to use

  4. Set the member permissions.

Once you have finished the Layer configuration, click the 'Create Layer' button.

For more general information on adding layers, please visit our adding layers page.

This layer type is not supported on the Fulcrum mobile apps.
