Introduction

Whenever a record is initially created, Fulcrum captures the GPS location of the mobile device. You may need to manually update the record's location if the captured GPS data is inaccurate or if you are creating the record from a physical location different from the subject of the data collection.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the necessary permissions to edit records within the organization.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps to change the location of an existing record:

  1. Open the Record

    • Open the record you wish to modify in the record editor within the Fulcrum iOS app.

  2. Access Location Settings

    • Select the Set Location icon (which looks like a crosshair) in the middle of the lower menu bar.

  3. Set the New Location

    • The map view will open, allowing you to set the new record location.

    • To set the record to your current location, select the arrow icon in the lower left.

    • To pan the map to a different location, drag the map around until the crosshair is centered over the desired point.

  4. Manually Enter Location

    • Optionally: If you know the precise location (latitude and longitude) coordinates you wish to use, tap on the coordinates at the top of the screen to manually enter them.

  5. Save the Location

    • Once the new location is set, tap the Save button.

The record's location (Geometry and Location) will be immediately updated to the selected point on the map. You can now proceed with editing or completing your data collection.
