Signing In to Fulcrum for the First Time

Get up and running in Fulcrum — whether you created your own account or were added to an organization by a colleague.

Understanding Fulcrum Instances

Fulcrum operates four regional instances to support data residency requirements. Each instance is entirely separate — it has its own sign-up URL, web app address, and API hostname. Your account only exists in the instance you originally signed up for.

United States

web.fulcrumapp.com

Australia

European Union

Canada

Not sure which instance your organization uses? Check with your Fulcrum administrator. Using the wrong web app URL will result in a sign-in error, even if your credentials are correct.

Scenario A: You created your own Fulcrum account

If you signed up for Fulcrum directly — for example, through a free trial — follow the steps below to complete your setup and sign in for the first time.

Prerequisites

  • A valid email address used during registration

  • Access to that email inbox (including spam/junk folders)

  • Knowledge of which Fulcrum instance your organization uses

Step 1 — Sign up at the correct instance URL

Navigate to the sign-up page for your instance (see the table above) and register using your email address and a password. After completing the registration form, Fulcrum will send you a verification email.

Step 2 — Verify your email address

You must verify your email address before you can sign in to the Fulcrum mobile app.

  1. Open your inbox and search for an email from [email protected] with the subject line Verify your Fulcrum account.

  2. If the email is not in your primary inbox, check your spam or junk folder.

  3. Open the email and select Verify Email Address.

  4. Follow the on-screen prompts in your browser to complete verification.

Step 3 — Sign in to the Fulcrum web app

  1. Navigate to the web app URL for your instance (e.g., web.fulcrumapp.com for the US instance).

  2. Enter the email address and password you used during registration.

  3. Select Sign In.

Scenario B: Someone added you to their organization

If a colleague or administrator added you as a Member to an existing Fulcrum organization, you will receive an invitation email. Follow the steps below to accept the invitation and sign in for the first time.

Prerequisites

  • An invitation email from Fulcrum sent to the email address your administrator used

  • Access to that email inbox

Step 1 — Locate the invitation email

An email is automatically sent from [email protected] when an administrator adds you to an organization. The email will confirm your name and the organization you have been added to.

If you did not receive the email, check your spam or junk folder. If it is still missing, contact your administrator to confirm they used the correct email address.

Step 2 — Set your password (first-time users only)

  1. Select the Click here link in the invitation email. This opens the Fulcrum web app.

  2. You will be prompted to set a password for your account. Choose a secure password and confirm it.

  3. Once your password is set, you will be signed in automatically.

Scenario C: Your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO)

If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO), your sign-in is managed through your identity provider rather than a Fulcrum password. Follow the steps below to sign in using SSO.

Not sure whether your organization uses SSO? Check with your Fulcrum administrator or the person who invited you to the organization.

Prerequisites

  • An active SSO configuration set up by your Fulcrum administrator

  • Your organization's SSO domain (e.g., yourcompany.com)

  • Knowledge of which Fulcrum instance your organization uses

Step 1 — Navigate to the correct instance web app URL

Go to the web app URL for your instance (see the table at the top of this article). Using the wrong instance URL will result in a sign-in error.

Step 2 — Select Single Sign-On

On the sign-in screen, select Single Sign-On below the Sign In button.

Step 3 — Enter your SSO domain

On the Single Sign-On screen, enter your organization's domain in the field provided and select Sign In.

Step 4 — Complete sign-in through your identity provider

You will be redirected to your organization's identity provider (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, or Google Workspace). Sign in using your standard company credentials. Once authenticated, you will be returned to the Fulcrum web app automatically.

SSO is configured per instance. If your organization uses the AU, EU, or CA instance, make sure you are on the correct instance web app URL before selecting Single Sign-On.

Signing In on the Fulcrum Mobile App

Once your account is set up and your email is verified, you can sign in to Fulcrum on your mobile device.

If you have not yet installed the Fulcrum mobile app, download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. See Where can I download the Fulcrum mobile app? for more information.

Prerequisites

  • The Fulcrum mobile app installed on your iOS or Android device

  • A verified Fulcrum account

US instance (default)

If your organization uses the US instance, no additional configuration is needed. Open the app, enter your email and password, and tap Sign In.

AU, EU, or CA instances — configuring the mobile app

If your organization uses the Australian, European Union, or Canadian instance, you must configure the mobile app to point to the correct instance before signing in. The app defaults to the US instance.

  1. Open the Fulcrum app. If you are currently signed in to another session, sign out first.

  2. On the sign-in screen, double-tap the Fulcrum logo. This opens the Device Settings screen.

  3. Tap Hostname Configuration.

  4. Select your instance from the list: Australia, European Union, or Canada. The hostname will update accordingly.

  5. Tap Save.

  6. Return to the sign-in screen and sign in using your instance credentials.

If you see an "Almost there…" message after signing in on mobile, your email address has not been verified yet. Check your inbox for a verification email from [email protected] and complete verification before trying again. See "Almost there…" message on the mobile app for full details.

Notes

  • Each Fulcrum instance is completely separate. An account created on the US instance cannot be used to sign in to the AU, EU, or CA instance, and vice versa.

  • You can use the same email address across multiple instances, but each instance requires its own separate account registration.

  • Email verification is required for mobile app access but is not required to sign in to the Fulcrum web app.

  • SSO is configured per instance. If your organization uses a non-US instance, ensure the mobile app is pointed to the correct instance before signing in with SSO.

  • If you did not receive an invitation or verification email, contact your Fulcrum administrator to confirm they used the correct email address.

  • For persistent sign-in issues, reach out to Fulcrum Support via the chat bubble in the web app or by emailing [email protected].
