Prerequisites

  • A record containing an audio field.

  • (Optional) GPS tracking enabled during original audio capture.

Accessing the Audio Player

  1. Navigate to the Record Editor in the Fulcrum web app.

  2. Click on the specific record to open the data view.

  3. Click the audio file within the record to launch the player.

Audio File

Audio Metadata

The top of the player displays the start time, current timestamp, total length, and current latitude/longitude coordinates.

Follow Mode

When enabled, the map stays centered on the device's location as the audio plays, providing spatial context.

After clicking the file, the player will begin playback. If a GPS track was captured, you will see the device’s movement synchronized with the audio on the map.

Notes

  • The audio column in exported data contains a direct link to the recording inside Fulcrum.

  • Audio tracks can be downloaded as GPX, KML, or GeoJSON formats.
