Fulcrum's Intelligent Team Automation features are coming out of Early Access! This means all Fulcrum orgs will soon have access to Issues and Tasks for all of their users.

Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new:

  • Issues and Tasks will soon be enabled for every Fulcrum org.

  • Two new permissions have been added to Fulcrum roles for organizations with Issues and Tasks:

    • Access to Issues & Tasks: when added to a role, this permission grants users the ability to create and interact with Issue and Task records. (All standard roles include this permission by default.)

    • Configure Issues and Tasks: when added to a role, this permission grants users the ability to add and modify configuration options for Issues and Tasks (such as types and default assigned checklists).

  • If users have access to Issues and Tasks, they will now have the ability to set the page they land on when they login to one of the following options:

    • Dashboard

    • Issues

    • Tasks

    • Apps

Note: If users don’t have access to Issues and Tasks, they will continue to land on the Apps List.

Our intention with this release is to minimize the change to what your users are accustomed to seeing when they log into Fulcrum. With that in mind, here’s what to expect when these updates start rolling out.

  • If your org currently has ITA (Issues and Tasks) enabled:

    • All of the roles in your org will be updated to include the new “Access to Issues & Tasks” permission, so that their access to Issues and Tasks will be uninterrupted.

    • All roles which include the "Manage Apps" permission, which currently governs whether or not users can access the configuration screens for Issues and Tasks, will be given the new “Configure Issues & Tasks” permission, which will govern that ability going forward.

    • You and your users will continue to land on the Dashboard when logging into the Fulcrum web app.

    • Within their member profile page, users now have a new setting they can change that controls the page they land on after logging into the web app.

  • If your org does not currently have ITA (Issues and Tasks) enabled:

    • The system roles in your org will be updated to include the new “Access to Issues & Tasks” permission. Custom roles will not be changed.

    • System Manager and Owner roles will also have the “Configure Issues & Tasks” permission added.

    • You and your users will continue to land on the Apps page when logging into the Fulcrum web app.

    • Within their member profile page, users now have a new setting they can change that controls the page they land on after logging into the web app.
