Multiple-choice fields allow users to select multiple options from a defined list during data collection. These fields provide a structured way to capture varied data points within a single entry.

Features and Functionality

Multiple-choice fields offer flexibility in how you define and manage selection criteria:

  • Choice Options: You can define options inline within the field settings or leverage a predefined choice list for consistency across different apps.

  • Labels and Values: Each option supports both a display label (what the user sees) and a stored value (what is recorded in the database).

  • Manual Entries: When you enable the 'Allow "other"' setting, users can manually enter a custom value if the provided list does not meet their needs.

Web App Selections

When using the Fulcrum web app, you must use specific keyboard modifiers to select multiple items. Use Shift+Click to select a range of items or Control/Command+Click to select multiple individual items.

Notes

  • Values manually entered via the 'Allow "other"' option apply only to that specific record and are not added to the master choice list.
