Single-choice fields allow users to make a single selection from a defined list of choices. By limiting responses, you ensure data consistency and accuracy across all records within an organization.
Configuration Options
You can define your options in two ways to best fit your workflow:
Inline Options: Populate choices directly within the choice field settings for quick setup.
Choice Lists: Leverage pre-defined, reusable choice lists for consistency across multiple apps.
Each option supports both a label (what the user sees) and a value (what is stored in the database).
Using the "Other" Option
When you enable the Allow "Other" setting, users can manually enter a value if the existing list does not meet their needs.
Manually entered values are stored within that specific record but are not automatically added to the master choice list for future selections.
Benefits and Use Cases
Data Integrity: Prevents typos and inconsistent entries common in open text fields.
Efficiency: Speeds up data entry for field members by providing a quick-tap interface.
