Understanding Offline Map Compatibility
While Fulcrum offers diverse mapping options, KML/KMZ layers specifically do not support offline use in the mobile app. To empower your team in areas with limited connectivity, you must utilize supported offline formats to maintain productivity.
Supported Formats for Offline Use
To ensure map layers are accessible without an internet connection, choose one of the following versatile options:
MBTiles: This format supports both online and offline use, providing a high-quality display for various field workflows.
ArcGIS Feature Service Layers: These layers offer flexibility for users who need consistent access across different environments, supporting both online and offline synchronization.
Supported Formats for Online Use Only
The following format is restricted to active internet connections and will not function during offline sessions:
Tile XYZ Sources: This format is available for online use only and does not support offline workflows.
If you rely solely on KML/KMZ or Tile XYZ layers, you will lose map visibility when your device is disconnected from the network.

Always synchronize your device while online to download the latest app definitions and map layers before heading into the field.
MBTiles are the preferred format for high-resolution, offline-ready imagery.
