Overview

When extracting your export, you may notice that some photos display a file size of 0 KB. This typically occurs if the extraction software does not support ZIP files larger than 4 GB (ZIP64 format).

Solution

Use extraction software that supports ZIP64. Some of these tools include:

  • 7-Zip (Windows)

  • The Unarchiver (Mac)

  • WinRAR (Windows/Mac)

Steps (Example: 7-Zip on Windows)

  1. Install 7-Zip.

  2. Right-click the downloaded ZIP file.

  3. Select 7-Zip > Extract Here or Extract to [Folder].

  4. Verify that the photos extract correctly.

Notes

  • If files still show as 0 KB, re-download the export. The file may have been corrupted during the initial download.

  • Ensure you have sufficient free disk space, as large ZIP files require additional space during extraction.
